Bread Roll

These bread rolls are deep-fried Indian croquettes stuffed with potato, onions, green chilli and spices. These are crunchy, with mouth-watering spiced potato stuffing on the inside. Serves : 3
Ingredients
10 Bread Slices
2 peeled Potatoes
½ chopped Onion
3 chopped Green chillies
½ tsp Coriander powder
½ tsp Chaat masala
½ tsp Chilli powder
Pinch of Amchur
Salt to taste
2 cups Oil
Method
Step 1
In a pressure cooker, add 2 potatoes split into halves with a pinch of salt and enough water to cover the potatoes—Cook for 3 whistles. Take off the heat and open the lid after the pressure is released.
Step 2
In a bowl, add the potatoes. Mash the potatoes thoroughly. Add chilli powder, coriander powder, chaat masala, amchur, salt, onions and green chilli. Mix well.
Step 3
In a bowl, add water, then dab the bread in water. Squeeze out the excess water but try not to tear the bread. Then add 1-2 tbsp of potato masala. Seal properly. Repeat till desired bread rolls.
Step 4
In a pan, add oil, and place on heat. Once hot, add in 2-3 bread rolls to the pan. Once brown from one side. Flip the bread roll and fry till golden brown—excessive dab oil with a paper towel. Serve hot with ketchup.
Tips
Make sure the potatoes are thoroughly boiled.
You can cut the crust of the bread.
Try to seal the rolls without tearing the bread. Be gentle.
Let the oil get hot before adding the rolls; otherwise, they'll soak more oil than required.
