Chicken Turkey Burger
A chicken burger is a classic hamburger craved by all. This chicken turkey burger is filled with a juicy, tender, grounded chicken patty with hints of rosemary and spice. It's effortless to put together; all you need is a spatula and a pan, and you're good to go. The juicy patty is paired with a simple yet delicious sauce. Ingredients
Patty
500g minced Chicken
2 tsp chopped Rosemary
1 chopped Shallot
2 tsp Garlic powder
1 tsp Onion powder
1 ½ tsp Cajun spice
1 Chilli flakes
Salt to Taste
¼ cup Flour
4 tbsp Oil
Burger Sauce
¼ cup Mayonnaise
3 tbsp Siracha
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
3 slices Turkey
3 Cos lettuce Leaves
3 slices Cheddar cheese
3 Onion slices
3 Burger Buns
Method
Step 1- Patty
Add minced chicken, rosemary, shallots, garlic powder, onion powder, cajun spice, chilli flakes and salt to a bowl and mix till thoroughly combined. Then cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for 2 hours or overnight.
Step 2
Then add flour to the chicken mix and mix till combined. Line a tray with parchment paper. Make six 3-inch patties with the chicken mix and place them on the tray. Place the tray in the freezer for 30 minutes.
Step 3
Add oil to a pan and place on high heat. Once hot, add the patties to the pan. Cook for 6-8 minutes and flip every 2 minutes. Once the patties are done, add cheese slices to 3 patties and steam the patties for 2 minutes on high heat. In the pan, toast your burger buns till crunchy and slightly brown.
Step 4- Burger Sauce
Add mayonnaise, sriracha and dijon mustard to a bowl and mix till thoroughly combined.
Step 5- Assembly
Take the toasted bun and add a generous serving of the sauce on the base. Then add in your cos lettuce and turkey slice. Place the two chicken patties and onion slices on top of the patty. Place the top bun and serve immediately.
Tips
Rest the marinated chicken overnight for the best results.
You can replace flour with 3 tbsp cornstarch.
The internal temperature of a cooked chicken patty is 74℃.
Instead of chicken grease, you can also toast your buns in butter.
Change the amount of sriracha according to your preference.
