Creamy Mushroom Pasta

Quick and easy creamy mushroom pasta made in minutes with readily available ingredients. This pasta is dreamy and creamy with the goodness of pan-tossed mushrooms and a slight touch of garlic. Served with homemade garlic bread infused with basil and chilli. A loaded bite of this pasta and you'll teleport to a corner café in Italy.

Ingredients
Pasta
350g Pasta
1 cup sliced Mushrooms
3 chopped Garlic cloves
30g Butter
1 cup Heavy cream
1 tsp Pepper
2 tsp Oregano
Salt to taste
5g Thyme
¾ cup Parmesan
½ cup Pasta water
3 tbsp Olive oil
Garlic Bread
2 small baguettes
50g Butter
3 chopped Garlic cloves
3 tsp Basil paste
1 tsp Chilli paste
½ cup Cheddar
Salt to taste
Method
Step 1- Pasta
In a big bottom pan, fill water generously. Place on heat and bring to a boil. Then add pasta and a pinch of salt. Boil the pasta till cooked. Then reserve the required pasta water and drain the pasta.
Step 2
To a pan, add olive oil and place on medium heat. Once hot, add butter and mushrooms. Let the mushrooms turn golden brown. Then remove the mushrooms and place them aside.
Step 3
In the same pan, add garlic cloves and cook till golden brown. Then add heavy cream and milk. Stir together, and then bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and let the cream simmer.
Step 4
Add pepper, salt and oregano to the cream and stir till combined. Now add the mushrooms and ½ cup pasta water. Cook for 1-2 minutes on medium heat, and then add cooked pasta.
Step 5
Combine all the elements till all the pasta is covered in the sauce. Now take off the heat and add in the parmesan, give a good stir and serve.
Step 6- Garlic bread
Preheat the oven to 200℃. Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Add butter, basil, chilli, and salt to a bowl. Mix well till smooth—cut baguettes length-wise. Spread garlic butter evenly. Then sprinkle cheese on top.
Step 7
Bake for 15-20 minutes. Take them out, cut them into 3 pieces and serve with .pasta
Tips
Cook the pasta according to the given time on the packaging.
When cooking mushrooms, remember to flip them from time to time.
After boiling the heavy cream, reduce the heat to medium-low.
Don't add parmesan while the pasta is on the gas.
Make sure the butter is at room temperature.
