Hot and spicy paneer stuffed in pastry sheet. These snacks are famous in local Indian bakeries. The paneer spiced jampack flavours give a wholesome filling. The flaky, crispy puff pastry enclosing the soft paneer stuffing makes this snack a nation's favourite. If you love a heat-packed snack, this recipe is for you.

Serves: 3
Ingredients
250g grated Paneer
½ chopped Onion
2 chopped Green chilli
1 tsp Coriander powder
1tsp Anardana
½ tsp Chilli powder
½ tsp Turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1 sheet Puff pastry
1 beaten Egg
Method
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200℃. Add paneer, onion, green chilli, coriander powder, anardana, chilli powder, and turmeric in a bowl. Mix well.
Step 2
Spread the filling evenly over the thawed pastry sheet. Roll the sheet, seal the edges and brush with egg wash. With a sharp knife, slice the roll into 2-3 inch slices.
Step 3
Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Place the slices on the tray. Lightly press them with a flat bottom glass and place them in the oven.
Step 4
Bake them for 15-20 minutes or till golden brown. Then take them out of the oven and let them rest for 5-6 minutes. Then serve with a hot and spicy sauce of your choice.
Tips
Before grating the paneer, you can keep it in the freezer for 30 minutes for the best results.
Seal the roll tightly, so the filling doesn't come out while cutting into the roll.
For a flaky crust, brush the roll properly with egg wash.
