Updated: Sep 2, 2022

A mouth-watering dessert from my childhood. Layered with strawberry jelly, vanilla custard, fresh fruits and whipped cream. One bite of this dessert, and you'll be on cloud 9. All the ingredients combine to create a mesmerizing experience to awaken the child inside you. Try today and make your day a little more joyful!

Serves: 2

Ingredients

4 tbsp Strawberry jelly powder

½ cup Boiling water

⅓ cup Cold water

½ diced Mango

2 diced Kiwis

5-6 diced Strawberries

¼ cup Vanilla custard

200 ml Pure cream

2 tbsp Granulated sugar

Method

Step 1- Jelly

In a bowl, add jelly powder and hot water. Mix in the powder, then immediately add cold water and mix well. Place in the refrigerator for 4 hours or till the jelly sets completely.

Step 2- Whipped cream

Meanwhile, in a bowl, add pure cream with a hand blender and beat on medium speed till soft peaks. Add ½ tbsp sugar at a time till all the sugar is combined. Then hit the cream to stiff peaks.

Step 3- Assembly

Once the jelly sets, add fruits, custard and cream to the bowl. Top with some fresh banana slices, and serve.

Tips

  1. While making jelly, make sure you add cold water after the powder is thoroughly mixed in hot water, and there should be no lumps.

  2. Before setting, you can add fruit to the jelly, except for the kiwi.

  3. Don't dump all the sugar at once.

  4. Once all the sugar is mixed in, ensure to beat only until stiff peaks and not overbeat the cream.
